In latest news from Uttarakhand, as directed by the district magistrate Tehri, the additional district magistrate (ADM) K K Mishra conducted on-site inspection of NH 94 Chamba-Kandisaud motor road to see whether that stretch is safe for commuters in the light of the approaching monsoon.
During the inspection, ADM directed the BRO officers present to clean the clogged drains on the roadside and install signage boards on both sides of the road in landslide-prone areas. He further directed that the Kotigad bridge should not be opened until load testing is done.
He asked the Tehsildar to provide report of land acquisition compensation in Dabri. Plus, he gave direction for preparing and sending a report of the landslides occurring on the road above Jolangi/Dabri.
