The admission process for students to get enrolled in undergraduate and postgraduate courses at Doon University is commencing on April 20 and will continue till May 31. Stating this on Wednesday, the university’s registrar M S Mandrawal said that the notification process for online applications has been activated on the university website. “Students can complete the application process online by accessing the university’s website and selecting the online portal link. Following the application submission, students are required to successfully pass the entrance examination in order to enroll in any of the UG and PG courses available at the university,” he added.
He further said that the entrance test is likely to be held in June and it would be administered in a computer-based format. “The university conducts its entrance exams at five centres. Following the entrance test, the university will compile a merit list that will consist of the names of students who are selected for particular courses. In case of the MBA students, it is mandatory on their part to complete the online application form through which selections will be based on their academic performance and ranking in the CAT examinations,” he said.
Speaking on the number of seats, the DU registrar said that last year 2,500 application forms were received and 1,400 students were enrolled in UG and PG courses. “This year, there are 800 seats available for UG courses and 600 for PG courses. It is expected that there will be an increase of five to 10 seats in each course for student enrollment this year,” he said.
