The principal of DAV (PG) College, K R Jain informed that the process of admission in the institute had started from August 1. He said that the college has released its first merit list of the under-graduate exam results on its website. “We asked the selected candidates to come to the college with their original certificates for admission procedures,” he added.
The admission coordinator of the college Ramesh Kumar Sharma said that those opting for BA could complete the admission procedures at the library while those opting for B Com could complete the same at the commerce section of the college. “The students who are to study B Sc should have the admission process completed at the Zoology and Botany departments,” he said.
Sharma further said that the students must bring their uploaded certificates and two copies of the form to be submitted to the admission committee. “The students will be asked to deposit fees only after the admission committee scrutinises the documents submitted by students,” he said.
It is further learnt from the college authorities that the forms pertaining to oath taking against narcotic consumption and ragging activities are available on the college website. “Students must fill up these forms completely and submit them to the committee in time to smoothen the admission process,” a senior college functionary said.
