The Bharatiya Janata Party State president Mahendra Bhatt has opined that the Congress is anxious due to fear of defeat considering the unprecedented results of the Lok Sabha election set to be announced on June 4. The Congress should wait for the declaration of the election results if it does not believe in the exit polls. However, it is making baseless statements against the BJP government which shows its fear of the imminent defeat it will face in the election. “The people have cast their vote and the situation will be clear in front of all within a couple of days. If the Congress considers the exit polls fake, the option it has is to face the reality and it should be prepared for that. The senior leaders of the Congress have also started questioning electronic voting machines. The Congress often raises this issue when the people have rejected it in the elections. On the contrary, it considers the public supreme when it wins an election in any State,” Bhatt said.
The BJP State president further said that the Congress should exercise patience, adding that it does not have the right to question the public mandate. “The BJP approached the public in the Lok Sabha elections on the basis of its development works and a target of more than 400 seats under its dynamic leader Prime Minister Narendra Modi. We are awaiting the election results like the whole world is. On the other hand, the Congress is already searching for excuses for the electoral defeat for fear of the unprecedented results expected this time. The Congress will learn about the reality because the people of India have understood that it didn’t serve the nation but ruled it for 70 years,” Bhatt added.
