Expressing satisfaction over the successful conduct of three G-20 meetings in Uttarakhand, the State finance minister Prem Chand Aggarwal appreciated team work and thanked all involved in the events. While speaking in the Vidhan Sabha office on this matter on Friday, he said that the challenges the State government faced in organising three such international congregations were huge. “We did not have much time for preparations and all was arranged in a short period of time principally thanks to the officers and employees of the State government having put in their best foot forward,” he said.
He further said that right from the reception of the G-20 delegates at the Jolly Grant Airport, things were excellently executed. “I must say that works done on roads, drinking water facilities, lights, sewerage and beautification are very commendable,” he said, adding that the Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat in Rishikesh had left the foreign delegates mesmerised.
