In latest news from Doon, latching onto the raging hill versus plain row unleashed by the State Finance and Parliamentary Affairs minister Prem Chand Aggarwal’s controversial comment on the first day of the Budget session of the Assembly here, the BJP veteran, former chief minister and Haridwar MP Trivendra Singh Rawat said that the comment is unwarranted and unacceptable. “I am confident that if he were asked about it he would have admitted that it was wrong on his part to make it. This is all the more unacceptable, given his stint as the Speaker of the Assembly and presently the portfolio he holds. He should be more careful about his language,” he said while talking to the media persons.

In the same breath, he said that it should not be made into a divisive political issue. “We should be responsible enough to keep the emotional integrity of the State we belong to,” he added.

Observers said that the resentment seeping into the saffron ranks might add to the trouble of the already beleaguered minister.
