Ahead of tourist season, ADG, Police inspects Kainchi Dham

Anticipating a huge influx of devotees and tourists during the upcoming tourist season, the State’s additional director general of police (Crime and Law and Order), V Murugesan conducted a site inspection of Kainchi Dham in Nainital district. During this, he closely reviewed the security arrangements of the shrine complex and the traffic arrangements in the area.
During the inspection, he gave clear instructions to the police officers that all preparations should be completed at any cost before the start of the tourist season. He also asked the officers concerned to prepare a comprehensive traffic plan to reduce the traffic pressure.Further, he directed to ensure all essential public amenities (drinking water, toilets and signboards) at the designated parking spots. “To ensure smooth movement of pilgrims visiting Kainchi, the shuttle service from the designated parking spots to the temple should be improved and streamlined to reduce the pressure of vehicles on the main road,” he said, adding that the under-construction parking spots and bypass road are completed at the earliest. During the inspection, the Superintendent of Police, Nainital, Jagdish Chandra; CO, Bhowali, Ravikant Semwal and in-charge Inspector, Bhowali, Prakash Singh Mehra were present.
