AIIMS-R deploys team of docs for Kumbh pilgrims

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh has deployed a team of medical experts for the pilgrims visiting the Kumbh in Haridwar. The institute has also reserved a disaster ward and ICU beds for Kumbh.`
A sector Hospital at Bairagi Camp Haridwar is being operated by AIIMS Rishikesh. On Thursday the director of AIIMS Rishikesh, Dr Ravi Kant visited the Sector Hospital in Bairagi Camp and reviewed the arrangements there. He gave necessary guidelines to the team of doctors and conducted inspections of the Covid testing area, OPD, IPD, registration counter, dispensar and MI Room of the hospital.
Dr Ravikant said that services of advanced life support and basic life support will also be made available by AIIMS during any kind of disaster in Kumbh or for the treatment of serious types of patients. He said that all the facilities of first aid are being operated by AIIMS in the Sector Hospital. “If needed, serious patients will be admitted to AIIMS and treatment will be started immediately. Teams of doctors serving round the clock have been deployed for the convenience of the common pilgrims at Sector Hospital in Haridwar,’’ he said.
