AIIMS Rishikesh gears up for Char Dham Yatra

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh has made arrangements to provide medical assistance to the pilgrims visiting the Char Dham Yatra. The premier institute has released an emergency helpline number ( 7060005829) for the pilgrims. The AIIMS will provide telemedicine services to the pilgrims with the help of this helpline number. The pilgrims can also take the services of the telemedicine services offered by the institute.
The officiating director of AIIMS Rishikesh Dr Meenu Singh said that the doctors and health workers deployed on the Char Dham Yatra have been given special training by the AIIMS to deal with.the diseases and health issues faced by the pilgrims in the high altitude. She said that arrangements have been made to provide immediate treatment to serious patients airlifted by the heli ambulance at the trauma centre of the institute. She added that the first hour after the accident is the golden hour to save the life of any accident victim so the 108 ambulance service or nearest health service should be immediately informed about the accident.
