Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ selected for Berlin Film Festival 2022

Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ has been selected for the 72nd Berlin International Film Festival 2022. Alia took to her Instagram story to share the news with her fans on Wednesday. The film festival will commence on February 10. It has been selected for Berlinale Special, a segment of the film festival, which is dedicated to showcase exemplary cinema. This year’s selection for the festival are the films that have been shot during the pandemic. The film is very special to Sanjay Leela Bhansali as he celebrates 25 years in the industry.

Bhansali expressed his happiness about the film selection and said, “The story of Gangubai Kathiawadi has been very close to my heart and me and my team have given it all to make this dream possible. We take pride and honour in showcasing our film at the prestigious Berlin International Film Festival.”

‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ will hit the theatres on February 18, 2022.
