The control room set for the Char Dham Yatra will remain operational throughout the pilgrimage period. It will function daily from 7 AM to 10 PM, the State Tourism and Culture minister Satpal Maharaj said. A system of tokens and slots has been introduced so that pilgrims do not have to wait in queues for long to pay obeisance to the deity. Officials of the executing agency for this purpose and the Tourism department have already conducted field inspections along with the police and district administration officials to ensure proper facilitation of the system. The implementation of this system will mean that no devotee will have to wait for more than an hour in the queue to pay obeisance to the deity in the Char Dham shrines.

For the safety and monitoring of pilgrims and their vehicles, the Tourism department has facilitated online/offline registration under the tourist safety management system through a private enterprise. For the convenience of the pilgrims, the department has provided options to register online, through a mobile phone application, by telephoning the control room toll-free number 1035-1364 and by WhatsApp. In addition to this, counters have also been opened in Rishikesh and Haridwar for offline registration of pilgrims. For any information related to the Char Dham Yatra, a person can phone on 0135-2552627, 2559898. Further, the authorities have appointed 115 personnel through Uttarakhand Purva Sainik Kalyan Nigam Limited (UPNL) and Prantiya Rakshak Dal (PRD) for the safety and assistance of pilgrims during the Char Dham Yatra. According to officials, necessary arrangements have also been made to ensure sanitation during the pilgrimage. Bookings worth crores of rupees have been made in the 94 guest houses of the Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam on the Yatra circuit. It is pertinent to mention here that at least 22 lakh persons have registered so far to visit the Char Dham and Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara.
