The Speaker of Uttarakhand Assembly Ritu Khanduri suspended all the Congress MLAs for the day after they created a ruckus inside. As the Opposition MLAs climbed up a table in front of the Speaker’s chair while protesting, the Speaker took the stern step of suspension. The Congress MLAs were seen throwing paper missiles aimed at the Speaker’s chair. Speaking on the matter, the State Finance minister Preamchand Agarwal termed it as unfortunate. “The obstructionist approach of the Opposition has led to the first suspension during this session,” he said.
