All the government schools of Uttarakhand would remain open on Sunday for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat programme. On the directive of the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami regarding arrangements for broadcast of the PM’s programme, the state project officer, Samagra Shiksha, Banshidhar Tiwari has directed that all schools would remain functional on April 30 and all the students will be shown the Mann Ki Baat of PM.
“Necessary arrangements like television, LED, radio, virtual class, smart class, computer, laptop among others should be made at the school level so that the programme can be broadcast at the school level,’’ the order states.
In his order Tiwari has said that if the necessary resources like LED, TV and radio cannot be arranged then the students can be connected to the programme through mobile phones too. All the schools would have to submit details of the students who attended the programme along with photographs to the department. He said that that guidance is provided by the PM to the children, parents, teachers and schools, so telecast of the programme is useful for all the stakeholders in which children are important.
