The Bharatiya Janata Party state president Madan Kaushik said that the Union budget presented on Tuesday is in accordance with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of a self-reliant India. He said that this budget will prove helpful in exploiting the opportunities which have emerged in the economic world following the Covid pandemic. “This budget is all inclusive and will infuse new energy in the 130 crore people of the nation. It will make important contribution for enabling good governance, poverty alleviation, socio-economic change and employment generation. This budget lays special focus on infrastructural development, health, employment generation, housing, social welfare, farmer welfare, higher education, innovation and research which will be especially beneficial for mountain states like Uttarakhand,” said Kaushik.

Former Union minister and ex-CM Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ said that the Union budget will change the scale of the Indian economy. He said that the budget for 2022-23 is a farsighted budget which will enable making the nation self-reliant and lay the foundation for a new India in the 100th year of independence. Nishank said, “Reflecting the hopes of the people and increasing the form of the budget to Rs 39.45 lakh crore depicts the fast growing economy of the nation even during Covid times. This budget will encourage all-round development, enable employment generation, empower the poor, strengthen the farmers and facilitate zero budget farming along with natural farming. Further, it will also facilitate river linking, one station one product and farmer drone among various efforts aimed at benefitting the farmers while also modernising the agriculture sector and making it self reliant. This budget accords respect to labourers, will help the middle class fulfill its dreams, speed up infrastructural development and strengthen the economy,” he added.
