Kiran Jeremiah has completed 25 years as the principal of All Saints’ College. With her at the helm, the school has set new standards in education, providing global level education to the students, said the teachers of the school appreciatively, and adding that the school has ranked high in the Education World Ranking.
Starting her teaching career in 1972, she assumed the responsibility as the principal in 2000. The school launched many new courses and programmes under her stewardship. Besides, she introduced an effective curriculum and teaching method in the school. Many of its former students are now adorning prestigious posts in the country and abroad, raising the stature of their alma mater.
A senior teacher said that she longs to help the girls studying in the school become equals of men in every department of life. “Along with this, regular competitions of sports like hockey, basketball, swimming and football are being organised for physical efficiency of the students,” the teacher said and added that adventure sports like mountaineering and equestrian sports are being promoted.
Besides, international educational tours are being organised to introduce them to global culture. The national culture is not being ignored, too. The students are learning folk arts, folk songs and classical music and dance. Moreover, as she is a strict stickler for discipline, the students are learning the importance of discipline in life under her benign guidance.
