All schools & anganwadi centres across U’khand to remain shut on July 14 & 15

Heavy rain anticipation cited as reason for school closure

In latest Dehradun news, the State government issued an order, directing closure of all schools-government and private- and the anganwadi centres across the State for two days-July 14 and 15, in view of the heavy rain battering Uttarakhand. The order was issued by the State Disaster Management Centre. The order applies to the teaching and non-teaching staffers aside from the students. The reasons behind this two-day shutdown order were cited as landslides, flash flood, falling of boulders on the roads, waterlogging and blockage of roads among others.
