All sections supporting efforts to implement UCC: CM

The State government is working on implementation of Uniform Civil Code in Uttarakhand for the welfare of all the citizens. The government is receiving support from all sections of society for this, said chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. He further said that illegal encroachments in the State are being removed strictly as per the law.
Speaking at an event here on Sunday, he said that all departments are working seriously on roadmaps for the next 10 years.New policies have been introduced for tourism, agriculture, horticulture and homestays. Annual targets have been set and work is being done diligently to double Uttarakhand’s GSDP in the next five years, he said.
The CM also referred to steps taken by the State government for welfare of women including provision of 30 per cent horizontal reservation for the State’s women in government jobs and the scheme to provide three free cooking gas cylinder refills in one year. Stating that the government is aiming to make Uttarakhand a model State by 2025, he said that the efforts are being focused on integrated development in the State. The focus is on achieving balanced development in all sectors, he said.
