Alleged tea plantation land encroachers summoned by court

In latest Dehradun news, the district administration is tightening noose on the land mafias engaged in buying and selling tea plantation lands. It is learnt that the additional district magistrate Shiv Kumar Baranwal has issued notice to those who are related to the alleged encroachment of tea plantation land. Notably, the court has summoned these persons to appear before it on August 11. Baranwal has been invested with the charge of dealing with the land grab issues involving tea plantation and ceiling lands.
It is learnt from sources in the know that Vinod Kumar and Deepchand Agarwal have been summoned by the court on August 11 on this matter. They have been asked to appear before the court with all documents related to the disputed land, located in Raipur area of Dehradun. It is further learnt that Baranwal has directed the SDMs of Rishikesh and Vikasnagar to send new and old records pertaining to ceiling lands in Dhakrani, Raipur and some other places. It is pertinent to mention here that he had ordered the SDM and tehsildar to send him report on Pearl View in Ladpur area in three days way back on June 1, but the report is yet to reach him, deepening mystery over the matter.
