International conference concludes at Patanjali
The spread of allopathy during the past 100 years conditioned people into thinking there is no other medicine system apart from it. Yoga guru Ramdev said this while speaking at the conclusion of a three-day international conference ‘Plants to Patients-Rethinking Ethnopharmacology’ organised under the auspices of Patanjali Research Institute.
He said, “We made medicines by doing evidence-based research in Ayurveda and took them forward in the interest of humanity. Today there has been a big change in the medical field. New paradigms have been created in the field of education through Patanjali. Through Patanjali Ayurveda College, we have prepared a chain of Ayurvedic doctors and dedicated them in the interest of the nation.” He also expressed gratitude while congratulating all the scientists present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Acharya Balkrishna said that today the whole world is looking towards Patanjali in the field of health services. He said that the opportunity for learning comes sometimes in human life but one keeps getting the benefit from what one has learned throughout one’s life. He exhorted the gathering to take advantage of the better opportunity and cooperate for re-establishing Vedic methods to benefit people throughout their life.
Chief scientist of Patanjali Research Institute, Dr Anurag Varshney thanked all the visiting scientists and doctors. He said that through this conference, students, researchers, neo-scientists and educationists will get knowledge and Ayurveda will get strength.
