As per Uttarakhand news in English, a meeting was held in the Collectorate chaired by the Almora district magistrate Vineet Tomar to take stock of the preparations for the Civil Services Preliminary Examination of the Union Public Service Commission to be held on May 28. Seven examination centres have been set up in Almora for the conduct of this examination and 1907 candidates have been registered to write the examination.
The DM instructed all the sector magistrates/reserve sector magistrates appointed for the examination centres to ensure that the examination is held peacefully. He asked all the sector magistrates to go to the assigned examination centres and see that all arrangements are put into place before the examination starts. Besides, he asked them to make sure that all exam-related materials are collected in advance.
The DM directed the sector magistrates to follow all the guidelines of the Union Public Service Commission and to ensure that all the procedures for conducting the examination are strictly followed.
He stressed on adequate security forces be deployed in all the examination centres, adding that in case of any problem during the examination, the control room established in the main education office should be contacted. He further said that a collection place for mobiles and other electronic materials should be set up in all the examination centres.
