The Congress party spokesperson Garima Dasauni has said that the patients in the Almora base hospital are suffering due to the official apathy and mismanagement. She said that on Monday she informed the situation prevailing in the hospital to the chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat on Monday who assured that things would improve. Dasauni said that many times the nurses and doctors remained ignorant about the status of the patients for hours together. It appears that the staff members of the hospital are hesitant to enter the Covid wards, she said.
The Congress leader added that patients in the hospital are complaining about theft of their belongings and pathetic arrangement of food and medicines. She said that it appears that the patients are caught between the base hospital and the medical college administration
