Almora Urban Co-operative Bank’s 63rd branch opens in Thal, Pithoragarh

The 63rd branch of Almora Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd- fully equipped with CBS, IMPS (Credit), RTGS and NEFT services- was inaugurated at Thal in Pithoragarh district
on Friday. Inaugurating it, the chairman of the bank, Mahesh Chandra Joshi said that his bank keeps scaling new heights of progress while dwelling on the modern banking facilities and the social and economic support it has been providing to the people. He also mentioned the bank’s role in creating employment opportunities.
The general manager of the bank, Bhupal Singh Mehta said that in the financial year 2025-26, two more new branches of the bank would start their business. “With the opening of these branches, the bank will have 65 branches across Uttarakhand,” he added. He further said that the bank currently has over 57,411 shareholders and approximately 4, 13,784 account holders. “We are paying a 10 per cent dividend to its shareholders,” he stated.
On the first day of inauguration, over 100 new accounts were opened in the branch and over Rs 40 lakh was deposited.
