At least ten people have been killed and many are reported missing after a cloudburst near the holy cave shrine of Amarnath in Jammu and Kashmir.
The cloudburst took place at around 5:30 PM on Friday, resulting in heavy discharge of water near the cave shrine.
After heavy rain in the upper reaches, sudden wave of water from above and sides of the cave, few langars have been washed away. Many tents have also been damaged.
Rescue operation by the national and the state disaster response teams and other agencies is underway.
