Ambedkar an architect of constitution, champion of downtrodden: Mahara

A seminar was organised by the Uttarakhand Congress on the occasion of the death anniversary of BR Ambedkar at Rajiv Bhawan on Friday. The Congress leaders and workers paid floral tributes to Ambedkar on the occasion.
In his address the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara said that the constitution of India is the gift of Ambedkar and he crafted the constitution by keeping the interests of the weakest section of the society paramount. He worked for the interests of the downtrodden, exploited and backward classes of the society throughout his life. The PCC president added that Ambedkar was the epitome of a democratic society and he wanted to establish social order in the country.
The president of State Congress scheduled caste cell, Darshan Lal said that the true tribute to Ambedkar is to respect the constitution given to the country by him to behave like a true citizen in accordance with the constitution. He said that Ambedkar proved that there is no alternative to hard work, struggle and ability.
The vice president of State Congress Mathuradutt Joshi, State general secretary Naveen Joshi and others were present on the occasion.
