With speculations running rife over the Kichha’s Congress MLA Tilak Raj Behad crossing over to the BJP camp following his meeting with Union minister Ajay Bhatt and state cabinet minister Ganesh Joshi, the former chief minister and veteran Congress leader met Behar at the latter’s residence. They are learnt to have a closed door meeting for a long time. In a press release issued after the meeting, Rawat said that there is no factionalism within the state Congress and Behad is a popular leader of the party. He dismissed speculation of his joining the saffron camp. Notably, the Union minister of state for defence Ajay Bhatt had reached Behad’s residence on Thursday. Though the meeting has been described as an apolitical one political significance is being attached to this meeting. Interestingly, Behed had criticized the party by raising questions on some recent appointments. This is what is giving strength to the speculation.
