Amit Shah to inaugurate computerisation of 670 MPACS on March 30

The Union Home and Cooperatives minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the computerisation of 670 Multipurpose Primary Agriculture Credit Societies (MPACS) of the State in Haridwar on March 30. The Union minister was earlier scheduled to visit Haridwar on March 31 for the programme. The State Cooperatives minister Dhan Singh Rawat held a meeting with the officers of the department here on Monday and asked the officers to expedite the preparations for the visit of the Union minister. He said that Shah would inaugurate the computerisation programme of the MPACS at the Nyay Panchayat level in Uttarakhand.

Rawat said that the Union Home and Cooperatives minister will inaugurate many projects of the department from the Rishikul Ground on the day. He claimed that the computerisation of the MPACS has been completed successfully and the Union minister will inaugurate them online. He said that the computerisation of MPACS will ensure that many facilities and services are available to the farmers of the State under one roof. Rawat said that the Union minister would also inaugurate the Jan Suvidha Kendra and Jan Auashadhi Kendra (JAK) in the 95 MPACS during his visit to the State. 

Shah will also felicitate the progressive farmers doing exceptional work in the field of agriculture and horticulture on the occasion. He will also distribute cheques to the beneficiaries of the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Kisan Kalyan Yojana under which loan at zero per cent interest is given to the farmers. Rawat added that the Union minister will also inaugurate cooperative farming in all 95 blocks of the State under the State Integrated Cooperative Development Project. The meeting was attended by the Cooperatives secretary BVRC Purushottam, registrar Aloke Pandey, additional registrar Ira Upreti and others.

In the meeting the minister directed the joint director of Cooperatives, MP Tripathi to camp in Haridwar so that the programme of the Union minister is properly coordinated.
