Amrita Online expands global footprint to 50+ countries, hosts future skills conclave

Amrita Online, the digital learning arm of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, has expanded its global reach to learners in over 50 countries while covering all 28 Indian States, strengthening access to quality higher education beyond geographical boundaries. To mark this milestone, Amrita Online hosted the Future Skills Conclave, a thought leadership initiative focused on bridging the growing gap between academic learning and industry expectations. The conclave brought together industry leaders, academicians and education experts to discuss the impact of rapid technological change on employability and evolving job roles. Discussions emphasised the need for graduates to combine technical knowledge with critical thinking, adaptability and communication skills.
Krishnashree Achuthan, dean of PG Programmes, highlighted Amrita’s industry-aligned curricula and innovative online delivery. Registrar P Ajith Kumar stressed the importance of continuous collaboration between academia and industry to prepare students for future workplaces. The conclave reaffirmed chancellor Amma’s vision that education should transcend geography and positioned Amrita Online as a key enabler of future-ready, inclusive education.
