Additional chief secretary Anand Bardhan will be the new chief secretary of Uttarakhand. He will assume charge on April 1 as the 19th CS of the State.
An order in this regard was issued by the State government on Friday. An officer of the 1992 batch of Indian Administrative Service, Bardhan has a reputation for being an honest and efficient officer. He will replace Radha Raturi who is retiring on March 31, 2025. She was given two extensions of six months each by the government, thus denying elevation of Bardhan to the top post of administration in the State.
After the announcement of his elevation to the post of the CS, the ACS met chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday.
