A suspected case of kidnapping of a five-year-old boy has come to light in the Haridwar city Kotwali area. According to sources, the incident is reported to be two days old. The police have started searching for the child.
Chetan Gupta and Mayak Gupta, two sons of daily wager Arvind Gupta who resides in Rodibelwala Maidan, were playing around a Shulabh Shauchalaya on December 9. It is alleged that when the boys were playing, two youths approached them on a motorcycle and struck up a conservation with them. The youth lured the younger brother Mayank Gupta saying they will treat him to break pakoda and took him away. The elder brother informed his parents about this. Then the relatives reached the police. The police have checked CCTV cameras installed on the highway to identify the kidnappers, but nothing concrete has been found so far. The police have said that the search for the missing boy is underway and that he will be found soon.
