Dehradun police arrested a cow slaughter accused on Friday from Sahaspur area. Notably, another accused involved in the incident had been earlier arrested by the police.
Kotwali Sahaspur had received information on the night of July 29 that some people were slaughtering a cow in Khushalpur village. Upon receiving the information, police force from Kotwali Sahaspur rushed to the spot and arrested one accused while his associates fled. In connection with the incident, a case was registered at Kotwali Sahaspur. During interrogation, the arrested accused is understood to have named several of his associates who were all residents of Khushalpur village.
Since then, police have been on the lookout for the absconding accused and succeeded in arresting one of them identified as Wasim aged around 34 years on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday.
