Another rainy spell to hit State today after brief respite

With the weather pattern fluctuating in the State, the spell of clear skies and comparatively warmer temperatures is set to be affected by rain in various parts of Uttarakhand today and tomorrow. According to the State Meteorological Centre, very light to light rain is forecast in parts of all the districts of the State on Wednesday and Thursday.

The weather is forecast to change in the State due to a fresh western disturbance which is likely to impact the weather in the State on Wednesday and Thursday. Further, the weather is forecast to remain dry on Friday followed by another spell of very light to light rain in various districts of the State on January 18, 19 and 20. This spell of rain is forecast in Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Pithoragarh districts.

The State Meteorological Centre has forecast that the provisional State capital Dehradun is likely to witness a mainly clear sky with shallow fog/mist likely to occur during the morning hours on Wednesday. The maximum and minimum temperature are likely to be about 24 degrees Celsius and seven degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.

The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded on Tuesday were 23.8 degrees Celsius and 6.2 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 21 degrees Celsius and 4.5 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 14.1 degrees Celsius and three degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 15.6 degrees Celsius and 3.2 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
