The army jawans have resumed the task of clearing snow at Hemkund Sahib in Chamoli district. Snowfall in the recent past in this region had affected the task of clearing snow from the path and from around the Gurudwara and Lokpal temple.
As the weather cleared on Friday, the army jawans resumed the task of clearing snow from the path and from around the shrines. Earlier, the jawans were facing some problems in clearing the snow due to fresh snowfall on Thursday. The Gurudwara manager Sewa Singh informed that the jawans resumed the task of clearing snow from the path to the shrine after the weather cleared on Friday. It will be recalled that the portals of Hemkund Sahib and Lokpal temple will be reopened to the public on May 20.
