Arya advocates Kishori Mangal Dals to strengthen young women of U’khand

The minister of Youth Welfare and Prantiya Rakshak Dal (PRD) Rekha Arya has directed the officials concerned to prepare an action plan for the formation of Kishori Mangal Dal on the lines of Yuvak Mangal Dal and Mahila Mangal Dal to strengthen the young women of the state aged 15 to 25 years. She also said that a Youth policy will be introduced in the state on the lines of some Himalayan and southern states for the overall development of youth under which many will be connected with several training and skill development programmes too. Arya took these decisions in the review meeting of the schemes being run under the department on Monday. She has also instructed the Forest Department to train Yuvak Mangal Dal and Mahila Mangal Dal as fire watchers as a measure to prevent forest fires which in turn, will also give them employment. She said that rapid disaster relief teams should be formed in every district through PRD to make them available as the first rescuers and responders during any calamity in their respective districts. She also directed the officials to send the proposals for the Khelo India programme organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports after receiving proposals from all district magistrates. She also directed the officials concerned to prepare an action plan to provide vocational training to youth as per their qualifications.  The secretary of youth welfare Deependra Kumar Chaudhary and Additional Secretary Girdhari Singh Rawat were also present in the meeting among other officials.
