The State cabinet minister Rekha Arya inaugurated the Naugaon pumping lift irrigation project in Kakrighat under Majkhali mandal of Almora district. She said that with the inauguration of this project, the people will never face the dearth of irrigation water, she said, adding that Rs 90 lakh has been spent in the execution of this project. She further said that now 45 hectare land will be irrigated with the completion of this project.
She said she is happy that the longstanding demand of the farmers of this region has been fulfilled.
The minister said that a slew of developmental projects are being implemented with all-round development being seen across the state. She ascribed the development to the guidance of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
