Arya invites Shishu Sadan’s children to the opening ceremony of 38th National Games

Sports minister Rekha Arya invited the children of Shishu Sadan to the opening ceremony of the 38th National Games on January 28. She invited the children while celebrating Makar Sankranti at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Tuesday.
During her address, Arya said that she specifically invited all the children from Shishu Sadan to attend the National Games opening ceremony scheduled for January 28. She informed the children that they would have the opportunity to see Prime Minister Narendra Modi up close on that day. In addition, the Sports minister personally guided the children around the entire sports complex, providing them with information about each area. Arya further informed that among these children, those who are interested in sports will be admitted to the boys’ and girls’ sports hostels.
Arya noted that as a minister, she considers herself a guardian of these children and decided to celebrate the festival of Makar Sankranti with them as a family. Arya cooked Makar Sankranti Khichdi herself and served it to the children, joining them in enjoying the Khichdi and Halwa. She further added that with this celebration of Makar Sankranti, they were able to connect the children with the National Games as well as in terms of promotion.
It will be recalled that the 38th National Games will commence in Uttarakhand on January 28 and continue till February 15.
