In latest news from Dehradun, the flag of the 38th edition of the National Games slated in Uttarakhand next year has been handed over to the State on the conclusion of the 37th National Games held in Goa. On behalf of the State government, the sports minister Rekha Arya received the flag in the presence of the senior functionaries of the Olympic Association of India in Goa. Notably, Uttarakhand has won three gold medals among the total of 24 medals, in the just- concluded Goa National Games. In last year’s National Games held in Gujarat, Uttarakhand had to be satisfied with one gold. While Uttarakhand had ranked 26th in 2021 National Games this year it has improved its ranking slightly, securing the 25th rank.
