The Sports minister Rekha Arya instructed officials to complete the construction of playgrounds for the 38th National Games slated to be organised in Uttarakhand this year. She said this while addressing officials in a review meeting held here on Thursday.
During the meeting, the departmental officers provided information regarding the infrastructure and construction of the playgrounds for the National Games. Arya expressed her happiness about the State hosting the National Games and assured everyone that the State is fully prepared to host the event. She instructed the officials to complete any remaining construction works within the given timeline while focusing on the quality of the work.
Arya further emphasised that the 500 coaches working in the State will prepare 2,500 medalists with a target of five medalists per coach. This will benefit the players and also showcase the talented players of the State. She added that with this initiative, the State’s players will be able to perform well in the coming National Games.
