Arya transfers Rs 3.69 crore among CM Vatsalya Yojana beneficiaries

In latest news from Dehradun, the State women empowerment and child development minister Rekha Arya digitally transferred Rs 3.69 crore through PFMS under the Mukhyamantri Vatsalya Yojana at her official residence in Yamuna Colony. She said that 6712 beneficiaries for June 2023 and 6144 beneficiaries for July 2023 have received the yojana amounts.
Notably, under this yojana, the children whose parents or those who were bringing them up died due to Covid-19 pandemic or other diseases receive Rs 3000 every month from birth till the time they reach 21 years of age through the women empowerment and child development department. Plus, such children get free education, free foodstuffs and skill development training aside from reservation benefits in the government services.
It is further learnt from the department that names of 23 and 28 beneficiaries in June and July 23 respectively have been removed from the list of beneficiaries as they completed 21 years.
The minister said that such children need not worry as the State government and the chief minister, in particular, are standing with them. ‘We are making sure that all the children entitled to receive the yojana amount are benefited,” she added.
