In latest news from Dehradun, the additional superintendent of police (ASP) Kotdwar Shekhar Suyal, has been transferred. Along with him, three other police officers of the ASP rank have been shifted from their present posts. Some observers ascribed Suyal’s transfer to the viral video that purportedly showed him saluting the State chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami while attending a phone call in violation of the protocol. The CM was in Kotdwar to visit the flood-affected areas. Suyal has got his new appointment as the ASP, Police Training College, Narendra Nagar, Tehri Garhwal. Jaya Baluni, who was working as an ASP Police Headquarters, has been appointed as the new ASP Kotdwar. Bijendra Datta Doval, who was working as ASP Tehri Garhwal, has been shifted as the deputy commandant, SDRF, Dehradun.
