The authorities have recovered a dead body of a middle aged man close to a river near Kunao village in Dhalwala, Rishikesh on Wednesday. The officials said that some locals complained that they had noticed a dead body in the area near the river on Wednesday morning. The police personnel along with the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) reached at the spot to recover the body. According to the officials, the SDRF team recovered the body from the river and brought it to the main road to be taken for post-mortem by the police. Considering the condition of the corpse, the officials said that it appears that the man was 40 to 45 years old and died about a month ago. The body has been sent for post-mortem in AIIMS-Rishikesh by the police. All the police stations have been informed about the dead man to ensure his body can be identified sooner by his family members as it is already in a bad condition to be kept for long, as per the officials. The officials said that the real cause of death of the deceased would be clear after the post-mortem but the police have started investigating the matter.
