The district administration along with Mussoorie-Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) sealed seven illegal ongoing constructions that were being carried on the land that is disputable and allegedly registered in the name of the district magistrate of Dehradun. The officials informed that constructions were being carried out at Khasra number 279 Bharat Vihar in Rishikesh which is registered in the name of the DM as per the revenue records of the district. The officials said that the land is disputable and the owners neither got any approval of the maps for the buildings nor a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the SDM office as per the norms. Considering these factors, the district administration formed a team consist officials from the office of sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) of Rishikesh, Municipal Corporation of Rishikesh, MDDA and the police and sealed the construction site on Wednesday.
