The Reserve Bank of India is observing a month-long nationwide intensive awareness campaign during the current month for public awareness through all regulated entities/banks. Aspects including safe banking, banking rights of customers, complaint redressal mechanism are being addressed in programmes apart from coin distribution and note exchange Melas which are also being conducted.
According to the officials, street plays are being performed in the villages and all the villages of Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh are being covered under this campaign. Important information related to online fraud and other aspects is being disseminated in the villages. Information will also be disseminated through newspapers, advertisements, radio jingles and town hall meetings, said the officials.
