The executive director of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Rishikesh, Dr Meenu Singh inaugurated the OPD service of the AYUSH department at the premier health facility of the State on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion she said that treatment would now be available in the AYUSH department through alternative systems of medicines like Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani and Homoeopathy. She further said that a herbal garden would be developed in the institute premises soon and facilities like Yogasana training and Panchakarma along with hydrotherapy would also be made available for the patients. “We are committed to providing maximum healthcare benefits to the patients and the AYUSH research will be focused on this,” she added.
