Ayushman scheme reflects vision of PM Modi- Dhan Singh Rawat

Health and education minister Dhan Singh Rawat has said that the data of the patients benefited from the Ayushman scheme reflects the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that every poor family of the country is getting health cover of Rs 5 lakh in a year.
Rawat said that Uttarakhand is the first state in the country where the Atal Ayushman Uttarakhand Yojana has been started. The minister said that the AAUY has acted as a panacea for the people of the State and so far 47.82 lakh health cards have been made. He informed that 5.38 lakh beneficiaries have availed the benefit of the scheme in the State and on them the State government has spent a sum of 917 crore. Giving more details Rawat said that 32000 people have received free treatment of Cancer, 5000 in neurology related issues and 12,000 in cardiac diseases under the scheme. The minister said that the department has initiated a special drive to make AAUY health cards during the ongoing Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
