The yoga guru Baba Ramdev joined the participants of the International Yoga Festival in playing Holi at Parmarth Niketan. The noted percussionist Sivamani played drum while the popular Sufi singer Runa Rizvi presented Holi songs. Notably, over 1200 yoga lovers from 75 countries were present at the Holi celebration. In tune with the Parmarth Niketan traditions, an eco-friendly Holi was played with organic colours and flowers.
In his address to the participants, Chidanand Saraswati invoked India’s message of the oneness of mankind as envisaged by the Rishis of this ancient land while Sadhvi Bhagwati said that the colours of Holi should seep into everyone’s heart, erasing divisions and differences.
