In latest Uttarakhand news, the Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev hailed the Narendra Modi government for the passage of the Women’s Reservation Bill (WRB) in both the houses of the Parliament. Lauding the initiative as epoch-making one, he said that the women of the country would hold the PM in gratitude forever for bringing about this monumental legislation that would usher in a new era of women empowerment. Speaking volume of the women’s role in the nation-building process, he said that they deserved the reservation granted by WRB. He further said that the adoration of the women power is part of the land’s sanatana dharma. Expressing hope that the reservation would facilitate the women’s growing participation in the political realm and the national/international decision-making process, Baba Ramdev said that WRB is line with the founding principles that define the Indian Constitution-unity, equality and justice.
