In latest news from Uttarakhand, the Election Commission-run voter’s awareness campaign-Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP)- has received a boost in Uttarkashi district with the ace mountaineer Bachendri Pal exhorting people to enthusiastically participate in the electoral engagement. She says that every vote cast strengthens democracy and helps the country move developmentally.
The district magistrate Meharban Singh Bisht and the chief development officer Jai Kishan expressed their gratitude to Everest summiteer for her association with the SVEEP campaign and said this would impact the people deeply.
As part of the SVEEP campaign, the DM visited the last rural polling station in Gangotri area Mukhwa and the last polling station in Yamunotri area Kharsali and urged cent per cent voter turnout in these two remote areas.
