Bag containing money snatched from company staffers
Incident occurred in sec-2 of BHEL, probe ordered, miscreants absconding

In latest Uttarakhand news, in a broad-day light robbery that happened in the bustling sector-2 of BHEL, three bike-borne miscreants allegedly snatched a bag which is claimed to contain Rs 14 lakhs from the employees of a money transfer company and fled. As this incident stirred up controversy over the efficiency of the police force, the SSP Haridwar Ajay Singh said that the criminal investigations unit (CIU) and Ranipur police station have been asked to bring to book the criminals at the earliest. It is learnt that the employees of the company-Goyal Money Transfer Company-reached a bank at Aryanagar. While the two employees were returning after exchanging the currency notes with the money kept in a bag, three miscreants riding a bike snatched the bag and fled towards Bhagat Singh Chowk. The employees said that they had not got the least suspicion for a few seconds before they understood what had happened. They then informed the traffic police who rushed to the site where the incident happened. The miscreants are still at large.
