Acharya Balkrishna met the Union minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Narayan Rane and the Union minister of State for MSME Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma regarding the contribution by Patanjali in development of MSMEs and extending the reach of government schemes in the villages.
During the meeting, Rane appreciated the work being done by Patanjali under Swami Ramdev’s leadership and said that Patanjali needs to play a bigger role in facilitating the development of villages.
Balkrishna said that Patanjali has an important role in the MSME sector which is considered to be the backbone of the Indian economy. “We are proud that Patanjali presence in the rural areas is spread from the remote mountainous regions of Uttarakhand to the villages in the north east. We have opened the doors to prosperity by generating employment opportunities in remote and backward areas which has also helped in checking migration from the villages. We will have to make our villages prosperous as the way to the development of the nation passes through the villages,” he said.
