In latest Uttarakhand news, the Nainital district magistrate Vandana has imposed a ban on the movement of vehicles, including two-wheelers and auto rickshaws, on the Lower Mall Road in Nainital town from 6 to 7.30 in the morning. This move is aimed at providing security to the locals who do morning walk along this stretch. Notably, in view of the Raj Bhavan Marg being damaged during torrential rain on July 6, the traffic pressure on the Upper and Lower Mall Road has increased manifold. Speaking on the order, the DM said that the vehicular movement on the Upper Mall Road would continue as usual. “The morning walkers should use the Lower Mall Road,” she said and added that the order would take immediate effect.
